Target & Negative Keywords and Review Automation Rules
Configure positive and negative keywords for AI reviews, set up email reminder notifications, and automate pending review approvals.
#Fine-Tuning AI Reviews with Keywords
While your AI Context provides the overarching background of your business, Target Keywords and Negative Keywords act as precise guardrails for every review the AI drafts.
#Target Keywords (Comma-Separated)
These are the specific phrases, menu items, or service perks you want highlighted in customer reviews. When customers post reviews containing these keywords, your Google Business Profile ranks higher when prospective customers search for those exact terms on Google Maps.
- Pharmacy / Healthcare Example: "24-hour service, genuine medicines, fast home delivery, polite pharmacist"
- Hotel / Resort Example: "sea view balcony, rooftop infinity pool, delicious buffet breakfast, clean bathrooms"
- Plan Tier Limits: Free tier: locked. Starter tier: up to 3 keywords. Pro and Agency tiers: unlimited keywords.

#Negative Keywords (What to Strictly Exclude)
Negative keywords tell the AI what topics to avoid at all costs. This ensures your review suggestions accurately reflect your current business model:
- Pricing Adjustments: If you recently upgraded your decor and increased prices, add words like "cheap, budget-friendly, discount, low price" so customers do not write reviews setting unrealistic price expectations for future visitors.
- Appointment-Only Clinics & Salons: If you require prior appointments, add "walk-in anytime, no waiting, instant seating" as negative keywords so new customers are not misled into showing up without booking.
#Automation Rules: Keeping Your Review Pipeline Fresh
Busy business owners often forget to log in daily to inspect newly drafted AI reviews. Karo Simple includes two powerful automation features to keep your library fully stocked:
Email Reminders for Pending Approvals
An on/off toggle. When enabled, Karo Simple sends you a friendly weekly email digest whenever you have unapproved reviews sitting in your PENDING queue. Available on Starter, Pro, and Agency tiers.
Auto-Approve Reviews (Pro & Agency Exclusive)
If you trust your AI review generation rules and do not have time to manually click "Approve" on every batch, enable the Auto-Approve switch. The system will automatically graduate pending reviews to APPROVED status after a waiting period that you choose.

The automation switches section at the bottom of the profile form. š What is shown: ⢠Email Reminder toggle switch with notification frequency indicator. ⢠Auto-Approve Reviews toggle switch. ⢠Dropdown selector showing waiting period options: 24h, 48h, 72h, 96h (Default), and 120h.
#Configuring the Auto-Approve Waiting Period
When you toggle Auto-Approve ON, select how long pending reviews should wait for your manual inspection before graduating automatically:
- 24 Hours (1 Day): Fastest turnaround. Best for busy shops needing immediate review choices.
- 48 Hours (2 Days): Provides a 2-day window to review copy before it goes live.
- 72 Hours (3 Days): Ideal balance between owner oversight and automation.
- 96 Hours (4 Days, Recommended Default): Gives you ample time over the weekend to review drafts before automatic publication.
- 120 Hours (5 Days): Maximum holding buffer for deliberate review pipelines.
Real-World Auto-Approval Scenario
You set Auto-Approve to 72 hours. On Monday morning, your marketing manager generates 15 AI reviews. If you are traveling and take no action by Thursday morning, all 15 reviews automatically move to APPROVED status and appear on your customer review page without stalling operations!
