#Assigning Branded URL Slugs to Clients
As soon as your custom domain lights up in green "Active" status, a new management section appears at the bottom of the page: Client URL Slugs. This tool allows you to assign a clean, memorable web address to every client business under your management.
Find the Client Business in the Slug List
Locate the business name in the Client URL Slugs table.
Click "Set Slug"
Click the "Set Slug" button next to their name to open the slug editor.
Enter a Clean Slug Identifier
Type a short identifier representing the business (e.g. "spice-garden" or "dr-mehta-clinic").
Save and Test Live Link
Click the green checkmark to save. Their live URL immediately displays as "reviews.youragency.com/spice-garden". Click the external link icon to verify that the landing page loads.

Slug Naming Formatting Rules
⢠Valid: Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (e.g. "raj-sweets", "urban-fitness-pune"). ⢠Invalid: No capital letters, no spaces, no underscores, and no special symbols (e.g. "Raj Sweets" or "spice_garden" will be rejected).
#Understanding the 6 Domain Status Badges
- Not Configured (Gray): No domain has been entered yet. Enter your subdomain and click Connect.
- Pending CNAME (Amber): Domain registered, waiting for global DNS propagation. Add your CNAME and click Refresh.
- Active (Green): Domain is fully live, SSL is installed, and traffic is resolving cleanly.
- Grace Period (Yellow): The domain was active previously, but the CNAME record was removed or altered at the DNS provider. Re-add the record immediately to prevent client landing page downtime.
- Failed (Red): Verification failed. Click "Disconnect Domain", verify your DNS records, and re-connect.
- Suspended (Red): Account or billing issue. Contact Karo Simple support for resolution.

#DNS Troubleshooting: Solving Common Delays
#Stuck on "Pending CNAME" After 2 Hours
- Issue 1: Full domain typed into Host field. Many providers (like GoDaddy and Cloudflare) automatically append your root domain. If you typed "reviews.youragency.com" into the Name box, your DNS created "reviews.youragency.com.youragency.com"! Change the Host field to only the prefix "reviews".
- Issue 2: Cloudflare Orange Cloud. If you manage DNS in Cloudflare, ensure Proxy Status is set to "Grey Cloud (DNS Only)".
- Issue 3: DNS Managed Elsewhere. If you bought your domain on GoDaddy but pointed nameservers to Cloudflare or Hostinger, you must add the CNAME inside your active nameserver provider, not GoDaddy.
How to Check Your Active Nameservers
Visit dnschecker.org, enter your root domain (youragency.com), and select "NS" records. The results will reveal exactly which company is actively managing your DNS records.
#Disconnecting a Custom Domain
If you rebrand your agency or switch primary domains, you can disconnect your custom domain by clicking the red "Disconnect Domain" button at the bottom of the section:
- Immediate Fallback: All client landing pages automatically revert back to default Karo Simple URLs (app.karosimple.in/...).
- Slug Deletion: Custom slugs are cleared. If clients previously printed QR standees using your custom domain URL, those printed codes will stop loading until you reconnect your domain!
